Why we make these.
We were tired of choosing between $200 designer frames that feel like petroleum and $15 pairs built for the landfill. So we took the middle path seriously: materials that cost multiples of commodity plastic — plant-based bio-acetate, polarized UV400 lenses, riveted stainless hinges — without the luxury markup.
Earthly Ones started with a question: could a frame look this clean and feel this good without coming from a barrel of oil? Many rejected samples and a 23-page independent lab report later — yes.

We started with two shapes — one quietly classic, one quietly bold — and put everything into making both right. Same plant-based bio-acetate. Same lifetime hinge repair. Same receipts. We'd rather perfect a small set than ship a closet's worth of mediocrity.
